SALT is an exploration of the landscapes and water systems that embody Australia. Over the course of a few months, I road-tripped along the Eastern and Western coastlines – diving, swimming and exploring the waterways. The variety of forms, colours and emotions experienced from this environmental immersion were further conceptualised through photographs and sketch studies. The final result is evident in the series of dynamic abstract paintings of which SALT comprises.

I want others to experience how for me, creativity is about connecting to the planet and replicating those emotions, the highs and the lows, through my work. I hope you enjoy this journey from desert to sea with me.

What an amazing few days it was to exhibit my art work at the incredible Balmain Watch House. Whilst the lead up to opening night had a couple of hiccoughs to say the least (let’s just say 39 degrees, a broken down van, and new hanging mechanism for each painting), the opening night couldn’t have been more amazing!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported me on the night. It was so lovely to hear so many kind words and appreciation for my art work. As I said on the night, SALT was about exploring my connection to the planet, however, a huge part of that connection is to the special lives and connections I’ve made in the community.
