My Story

Hi, hello! I’m Han, the artist behind Han Art. 

I am a passionate painter, drawer and I love all things blue, green and animal. With a background in Architectural design, in 2018 I decided to follow my true passion by moving to Sydney’s Eastern suburbs to be closer to the ocean and pursue a career in teaching, art and design.

I feel most at home in myself when I am creating. Han Art was born at a time when my mind would not quieten except for when I put brush to canvas or pen to paper. Now, my art is no longer just an escape, but something that brings me incredible happiness. This is was what motivated me to start Han Art - that is, I wanted my work to bring other people as much joy and inspiration as it does me. 

Since establishing Han Art, I have successfully been commissioned to complete a variety of bespoke art works. Works include pet portraits, large colourful abstract paintings, animal drawings from safari adventures and even a large scale piece with over 250 drawings documenting a couples relationship. Recently, I began collaborating with the fantastic Tim Goodman at Throw Clay, to create beautiful bespoke tea lights featuring fine detailed animal drawings. 

As someone who is passionate about the environment, I endeavour to spread awareness and support and collaborate with environmental initiatives. In turn, I am always looking to collaborate with fellow environmentalists and in 2021 I undertook a collaboration project with sustainable solutions company, Little Pepino. Inspired by the blue octopus on Little Pepino’s logo, I created my own vision of the cephalopod onto a beautifully crafted timber surf board.
